Stereo Argento Part II: Staff Picks

Stereo Argento returns in June for “Staff Picks”, a night of drag performances inspired by the team’s favorite horror films! You know, like video stores back in the day...

Staff Picks:
Dressed to Kill (1980)
Possession (1981)
Santa Sangre (1989)
Suspiria (1977)
Videodrome (1983)

Performances by:
Jillian Gnarling
Johnny Rockitt
Roxanne Redmeat

Stereo Argento is a KILLER evening soaked with drag performance, dark Italodisco dj sets and horror film screenings.
Stereo Argento offers the audience a peek behind the mysterious red curtain and into the realm of Argento style and that of his artistic and intellectual contemporaries.

$5 before 11pm, $10 after!

Come early for an onslaught of horror films and an ecstatic performance art installation by Sarah-Dawn Albani.
Stay late and stay SHARP for a Midnight Drag Show and dismal disco dancing ‘til 3am with DJs SMAC and DJ JP.

"Stereo Argento recognizes that women have limited representation in the production of cinema, as well as on screen. We will be donating a percentage of the door to the Women's Film Institute of the San Francisco Bay Area to offer equal opportunity to women filmmakers and to advocate for diversity in film and the representations of women in horror."

"Women’s Film Institute was founded in 2004 by filmmaker, activist and community educator Scarlett Shepard. Shepard’s goal was to build upon the success of the inaugural San Francisco International Women’s Film Festival and expand it’s programming year-round. Women’s Film Institute has transformed from a three-day festival into a thriving global network of individuals, professionals and organizations dedicated to advancing equity for women and girls, while working toward bringing greater diversity to the film and entertainment industry."

Stereo Argento will leave it’s mark on you, RIGHT ACROSS YOUR THROAT!!!!

Forever Yours in Gore,
Meredeath and Jillian Gnarling
