Other Stranger is a bi-monthly party at The Stud focusing on the mutant freak faction of the electronic music scene through live performance and DJ sets.

Carlos Souffront (SF, Bunker NY): Other Stranger is an extension of a rag tag group of miscreants know as Jackie O’Body’s School of Dance; of which Carlos Souffront is a core member. Carlos has been stockpiling records to play for OS since he attended our first night last December. He is a magician behind the decks who employs Dadaist tendencies which challenge the listeners idea of “dance music”.

Cube -LIVE (NYC , Superior Viaduct, Left Hand Path): Cube is the prolific and chimeric nom de plume of one Adam Keith, formidable tape experimentalist and artist/abraser currently operating in NYC. The former Oakland resident has released two full LPs on Bay Area labels Left Hand Path and Superior Viaduct as well as a slew of self-released cassettes. Welcome home.

Nihar - LIVE- (SF, Surface Tension,TVOD,Left Hand Path): Nihar has been producing and DJing as part of the Bay Area electronic music scene for the last decade. As a member of the post-techno Surface Tension collective, and as a Club Chai affiliate, Nihar is known for high intensity DJ sets that draw from an eclectic blend of global rhythmic influences and elements. As a producer, he infuses his studio work and live performances with this same sensibility. Nihar's first full length album, Chrysalis, was released in July 2018 on Jacktone Records. Nihar has, in the last few years, performed in places like Shanghai, Osaka and Mexico City but he can mostly be found playing in and around his San Francisco/Oakland home base.

DJ Ladybug (Bay Area,Piano Rain, Echo Loca, Midnight Society Records): Echo Archuleta is a sound artist, producer, DJ and quilter born of Colorado soil, currently flourishing under the California Sun and Moon. With a background in technical theater, she weaves together sounds and textures, as a healing medium, into a garden of memory, connecting the past through the present and into the future. Her sound works, like her quilt works, hold the intention of transmitting the nurturing warmth of human touch and memory activation, delivering messages beyond space to withstand the test of time.

Aetatis Suae (San Francisco): Aetatis Suae is the moniker of Dave Easlick (Carl with the People, Jackie O Motherfucker). Live evolving drum loops build to a distorted mass of sound while the underlying drum machine syncopation provides the rhythm to keep you in line and out of step.
