The Night’s Watch is officially stepping onto the dancefloor.
We’re launching with a free public event on February 26 at The Stud—and we’re inviting you to experience what a safer night out can actually feel like.
If you have ever clocked behavior on a night out that didn’t feel quite right… If you have ever wondered if you’d be taken seriously if you said something… This event is for you.
The launch will model the standards and care practices that help create a sense of safety before you even arrive–showcasing the role nightlife spaces can play in facilitating experiences where we can all let loose without looking over our shoulders.
Over the past year, we’ve been laying the groundwork for this moment: • Working with an advisory committee of longtime nightlife advocates with experience in event-based harm reduction, venue operations, and city planning and nightlife management, including The Stud’s co-owner @kisi_kisi • Publishing an article with @kalwmusic on our vision for safe nights out in San Francisco • Co-presenting with our north star organization @goodnightout_vancouver at the Responsible Hospitality Institute’s Sociable City Summit on strategies for safer nightlife • Presenting to the SF Entertainment Commission on nightlife safety, compliance, and considerations around California’s new drink spiking laws • Working directly with Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal’s office on current and future legislation related to drink spiking.
This is not just a launch – it’s an invitation to collectively redefine what our standards are for a safe night out that keeps us coming back for more.
